Data Science and Cybersecurity Center (DSC2)

Education

We offer several courses related to Cybersecurity and Data Science. Students can get a Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity when they complete fifteen (15) credit hours in related courses. The Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity is designed to provide concentrated and in-depth exposure to critical connected systems and infrastructure security concerns to enhance professional capability of graduate students. Individuals holding a baccalaureate degree in Computer Science or a related field would be suitable candidates for this program. Professor Charles Kim Receives 2019 VIP Consortium Award

Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Professor Charles Kim received the 2019 VIP Consortium Outstanding Research and Dissemination Award for the Vertically Integrated Project (VIP) program at Howard University (VIP@Howard) for his “creation and leadership of the VIP site at Howard University, his introduction of VIP members of a consortium of HBCUs, and for very thought-provoking papers on VIP”. Professor Achille Messac Named AAAS Fellow
