Co-op Programs

Cooperative Education (Co-op) is a program that students may participate in to gain work experience in their field(s) of study. A co-op experience emphasizes the total development of students by enhancing academic performance, strengthening analytical and communication skills and promoting professional development. Co-op places students in a real work environment to:

  • Help bridge the relationship between theory and practice
  • Provide opportunities to work directly with professional engineers, architects, and computer scientists
  • Provide exposure to state-of-the-practice technologies
  • Provide earnings that can help to defray tuition expenses
  • Test their chosen careers early in their matriculation
